Self-described French spiderman Alain Roberts was arrested in Sydney after he successfully climbed one of the city’s skyscrapers. A crowd of about 200 people gathered as Roberts climbed the 41-level Royal Bank of Scotland Tower at the Aurora Place. The crowd cheered when he reached the top of the building and immediately began his descent to street level. Police had closed off surrounding streets in the central business district and arrested the Frenchman as he finished his descent. Roberts has scaled more than 70 skyscrapers all over the world including Chicago’s Sears Tower, Canary Wharf in London and the Petronas towers in Malaysia and Shanghai’s high building,Jin Mao Tower in 2007.Saturday, June 6, 2009
